You can use the tram as well or a traditional abra boat to go across Dubai Creek.  Getting around like a local helps you to explore more of Dubai. 

  2.  Do follow the etiquette 

When you are in Dubai, you need to follow the basic etiquette. If you are planning to go to a mosque make sure to dress appropriately. Do cover the head when you are visiting the mosque and remove the shoes outside. Furthermore, it is good to greet with a smile especially when you are meeting the locals. Using inappropriate language, abusing or talking too loud or inadequate gestures is considered unethical. It is best to make use of courtesy words while shopping or visiting places to avoid any disconvenience.

3. Do try traditional and cheap food

4. Do bring a driver’s license

5. Do follow the timings in Dubai 

Dubai offers great places to visit. You can go and explore several parks, gardens, or even water parks to enjoy the weather. 6. Do consider the heat/ temperature 

When you plan to travel to Dubai, it is good to never forget the heat. The temperature in Dubai stays from 36 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius. Indeed, as you are visiting a desert, this temperature is not so high but the direct sun rays may damage your skin. 

So don’t forget to use good sunscreen or an umbrella during the high temperature which will surely help in the glorious sunshine.

It is good to be respectful when you are visiting Dubai. It is important to follow Emirati Etiquette and wear decent dress. The rule goes for both men and women. Dress appropriately doesn’t mean you have to stay covered but you have to dress modestly. Ethically it is good to keep legs and shoulders covered especially when you are visiting a Mosque or any religious site.

2. Don’t travel during Ramadan 

In the month of Ramadan, it is prohibited to eat, chew gum, drink, or even smoke during the fast. Even tourists have to follow this rule mainly in public areas because locals fast during the month of Ramadan for 29-30 days. The restaurants and hotels stay open for visitors during Ramadan but remain concealed. Most of the famous places remain closed during the day and open during the iftar time which may influence the trip. 

3. Don’t show aggressive behavior 

When you are in Dubai, refrain from foul language or mainly aggressive behavior. Do not engage in fights or go for verbal abuse because such activities are punished with great fines. This may even result in jail time or immediate deportation. So stay calm and have fun while exploring the beauty of the city. 

4. Don’t take photographs 

Traveling to Dubai might tempt you to take pictures and videos but you are not allowed to take pictures in Dubai of someone without their consent. Indeed, Dubai is a place full of man-made beauty. It has many great architectural buildings and great shopping malls. So if you want to clock pictures for your memory, be very cautious because you cannot snap at people especially women and children, without their permission.

5. Don’t carry medicines 

UAE follows a strict anti-drug policy. So, visitors and tourists are not allowed to take medicines or illicit drugs to Dubai. Dubai Airport stays on high alert and if you get caught, it won’t be a good scene during the vacation. Don’t forget to follow the UAE official website for the medicines that are permitted to carry. However, if you are carrying medicines other than the official list, it is best to have the prescription with you.
